On November 22, 2014, Tamir Rice was playing with a toy BB gun in a playground when he was shot by Cleveland police officer Timothy Loehmann. Loehmann fired at Tamir Rice twice within seconds of arriving, even though Tamir Rice had not raised his hands or posed an immediate threat.
Tamir Rice died from his injuries the following day.
